Club Ride | All Levels | Fox Creek
Join us for a lovely ride at Fox Creek Bike Park. With the Dirty Weekend Event coming up on April 27 & 28, we thought that this would be a great opportunity to show you all the course! This ride will be geared slightly more towards XC - the level 2 & 3 groups may end the ride with a fun run down Ant-Logic or Dirty Little Secrets.
We will be starting our ride from the upper car park at the bike park. Feel free to head across to Anderson Hill after the ride for some food, drink, and a catch-up!
All riding levels are welcome - please register for the level that suits you best.

What is the Dirty Weekend?
The Dirty Weekend is an iconic 24-hour mountain bike race, run by Bike SA. 24 hours sounds daunting, I know! but there are lots of different ways that you can participate in this race! You can ride solo, or a team of 2 or 4, and you can choose either the 24-hour race, the 12-hour race, the 6-hour race, or the 3-hour e-bike challenge. This is a really fun event with a great social vibe. There are options to camp overnight in the park around the edge of the course, and there’s an event village near Thomas House with food options, toilets, showers and recharging stations. Think, riding under the stars through trails lined with fairy lights and a DJ playing mid-course to keep your spirits high! Team costumes often feature prominently.
One of the Gravity Girls SA riders, Susie Green is going to be tackling the 24-hour race - solo! So it will be great to have as many of us out there to cheer her on and ride around with her. Gravity Girls will also have our own marquee set up in the event village as a space for Gravity Girls to congregate and rest between ride stints.

What to bring
All riders are expected to be self-sufficient. Here are some things you might like to bring/think about:
Make sure your bike is in good working order - bring any spares you might need
Wear appropriate clothing (enclosed shoes, comfortable sports clothing)
Bring enough water and snacks for the ride! (there is a water fill station at the car park)
Bring any relevant medications
Prepare for the weather. As a wise Scotsman once said, “Ach, there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing”. Think about sunscreen, a rain jacket, a change of clothes, etc.
